This is a total conversion of Sins of a Solar Empire. five new playble races will be introduced each with differing play styles and apearances. The focus of this mod will be small and large scale fleet stratagy and empire building.
Yet another of the Mark 8's many variations the intra Atmospheric frigate is designed for the sole purpose of deploying troops onto the ground whilst being able to provide a mobile attack platform for not only additional ground forces but also strike craft. The ships acts like a deployable beach head and is a marvel of T.E.F engineering. The fact that it can enter atmoshpere isnt the amazing part (Aurora class Super Carriers can do it as well) no the amazing part is it is able to engage targets such as enemy frigates attempting to launch into space and even intercept some planetary defense weapons. In other words the ship acts like a much frigate (albeit much slower) whilst within a planets atmosphere. This makes it a massive threat to both enemy ground forces and any enemy drop ships attempting to enter the battle zones.
yes im adding more ships to the Skirmisher family plus i wish i could do what infinity does here and have it be able to zoom from space to the planets surface so you could watch a few of these hovering over a city laying down fire. Point defense weapons firing of flak in all direction around it and maybe even engaging enemy atmospheric warships.
Umm, as far as I know you can not see into the planet surface right? At least without much detail.
no in infinity u can fly a ship from outside the atmosphere right up to the surface of a planet and land and everything.
