Napoleonic Total War III is the latest Napoleonic modification developed by The Lordz Modding Collective (LMC), based on Creative Assembly’s latest title Napoleon: Total War. NTW3 is an in-depth modification and the result of 4 years of development (since 2010), bringing you, as always, the most historically accurate and breathtaking multiplayer experience to date.
Description
Installer of Napoleonic Total War III version 9.0. This is a standalone version, no previous installation of this mod is required. A clean install on NTW is recommended. You will also need the map pack to play.

Very nice work on this update!
One thing leaves me a bit perplexe with the classic battles mod, The theaters of war seem to have no army units cards available, There are no more whole armies for almost all the nations and when building a desk with units (let's take Davout 1809 corps) there is sort of a limit to how many cards i can choose...

ToW armies work only in MP lobbies.
And of course you can't take 15 times the same unit.
No, he meant there's literally a limit of how many UNITS you can choose (not from the same kinds, but overall). To mee it seems that this mod counts some kind of "strengh" calculation - I had more than enough money to buy at least 10 more line infantry, but I simply was unable. (I could recruit two militia or one line infantry or one light cavalry, but no more heavy cavalry or elites). There seems to be a strenght limit that you can't pass even if you have enough unit slots and money. This sadly result in half-stack armies for custom battles... no more 1v3 corner camping for me :\
I miss stuff like that too. I decided to revert back to version 8.9

I think it's a bad idea to remove custom armies, I don't like this...
v 8.9 was perfect, why break something that works well? ten years you made these armies and now they are all gone...

The new version removes that and also is more restraining on how many units we can choose...For now I hope.

The strengtht calculation seems normal for a MP battle, but for a custom battle setup it's just weird...ANYWHO, the work on the new uniforms are superb (pompons, more accurate colours on shakos, collars and others...

As the multiplayer is fine, may I ask the develpoers to 'duplicate' ALL the nations/armies/units for the custom battle mode - without ANY limits? ;)
So, The AI in custom battles at the very least is utterly broken in a way i cannot even comprehend. it deploys in a blob and it attacks in a blob. Ruins the game and this mod for me. If this isn't patched or fixed then i can't say much positive about it other than offering VASTLY more units and factions. as of right now if your a custom games person at least. this mod is simply a good way to realize how barebones vanilla is only to realize your stuck with it cuz it's actually PLAYABLE.
Use Bran Mac Born NTW3 Single Player Campaign sub mod. Fixes blobbing in custom battles. You can get it at Total War Center.

How do you get the epic smoke from the peninsular campaign in the normal Europe campaign as well? Would be really cool to have it there too!
Go to the Graphics and adjust the particle effects higher. However it may cause lag or CTD's in the campaign game depending on your cpu & gpu capabilities.
That's not what I was talking about. I mean that the gun smoke looks different when playing the peninsular campaign, even if I have particle effects on low or ultra.
I believe the MP Classic Battle mod has a sub-mod included with it.

The NTW3 v9.0 Europe campaign works just fine, you may need to reinstall the original vanilla game if you've had other ntw mods installed, (especially DarthMod which overwrites original files)

They really need to make singleplayer good too i hate that it's only mostly multiplayer

Hello I’ve noticed some of the new units don’t have backpacks I was wondering if that was just under development or if I downloaded the mod wrong, any help is appreciated, thank you

The three NTW3 v9.0 mod downloads (Classic Battle, maps & campaign) are all that is needed at this time. There will probably be a patch in the future (as there always is) to correct some minor issues.

That's normal for your anti-virus to flag a new mod install like NTW3. It's perfectly safe, just grant permission to download and install.
How might one go about using screenshot mode? Been trying to figure it out and couldn't find anything on it, and I'd like to get some screens without the UI elements. Thanks in advance!

You may have to manually remove any remaining NTW3 folder or files from the data folder
