this is a discussion, not a work in progress. consider it a market research.

Before multiplayer is possible we need to know a few things,
1) is there demand for this, if there will be only 2 players then multiplayer is kind of pointless
2) is anyone willing to host a server? we cannot host a proper server ourself, if nobody is willing and able to host a server then again it's pointless
3) how would you like to see this? multiplayer can be done in several ways, suggestions on how to do this are welcome.

depending on how this thread does we might start working on multiplayer
as it is right now (30/04/2013) there is no multiplayer functionality what so ever, you are likely to end up with medieval soldiers.

exactly the reason for this post/poll, figure out if people think the same. i'm rather sure there is no demand for it but with this post people can give reasons why it should/should not happen.

We can add it later, there is no need to take it official. We can just give people chance to have fun with friends on lan, or, if any fan opens an internet server. It could use this mod well, but i dont see a hot priority in this.

well the question is not "do we have the assets" or "can we run a server"
the question is "should we consider multiplayer", nothing more.

if people want this then we should give people what they want, if people don't want this then we should not. nothing more then that, it's a market research.

I don't need MP version. I play this mod BECAUSE is SP. I'm tired of stupid only-MP mods (well, they are not stupid for people who like them, and for those who made it, but they are for me... :sick: ). If somebody wants it, there are too much versions of WB-MP mods to choose. Please don't waste your time.

It's a little too late to be thinking about even considering multiplayer, we've put most of our time and effort into singleplayer, and we shouldn't stop production of the most important aspect of our mod to pour time and effort into multiplayer that will most likely not even get played.

Well making MP available after releasing the ULTRA FINAL version is not a bad idea .

By then we'll probably have arthritis in our hands. :lol: But in all seriousness we'll all probably be preoccupied with other projects once we're done with M&E, so we won't add MP after version X.YY is released, but it may be something we program in if we run out of ideas.
