Requirements:
- Steam
- Source SDK Base (whichever version the mod page says you need)
- Enough available space to install both the mod and the SDK Base
This tutorial takes about 2 minutes.
Step 1:
Firstly, do you already have an older version of the mod installed? If so, then you will want to run a patch to update. If not, then you want to download a NORMAL VERSION. (Click "files" to go to the Downloads page.)
Step 2:
Now you want to download the file! Click the big red button as shown here.
When this message appears, click "Save file!" (this may not appear on Chrome)
Step 3:
Now you want to extract the file. If you downloaded the installer, you will want to type [location of your "sourcemods" folder] and click the Extract button.
If it asks if you want to replace files, hit "Yes to all." Duh.
If you downloaded the ZIP file version...
Simply extract the contents into [location of your "sourcemods" folder]. There doesn't even need to be a picture for that one. If you're on Mac or Linux, this is the best option. Also, remember to delete the archive or installer after as they can take up a lot of space (300+ mb).
Step 4
Now you need to restart steam.
Click "Exit" in the Steam drop-down menu (accessed by clicking the Steam icon in the taskbar).
Now load it back up!
And the mod should be ready to play!! If it doesn't appear in your Steam library, try setting the Beta to "upcoming-" on Source SDK Base. This is found by right-clicking on Source SDK Base in your library, selecting "Properties" and going to "Betas".
