Updates:
- Fewer encounters
- More difference in levels
- Changed run speed and jump height to a better number
- Fixed a shortcut in catacombs
- Fixed that your monster's level didn't show correctly
- Fixed that the teleport room caused a crash
- Changed boss levels to be more constant
To kickstart your game, if you lost your save file, do the following:
1. Use a profile using debug mode. *
2. Start a new game. You will then be taken to a debug map where you can customize your monster.
3. Choose where you want to start your game. (Castle, Mansion or Outside).
When you are in debug mode you can press F3 to toggle fast mode. This should also help you get quicker around the maps, if you want to. Just don't load or reload any maps. it'll start everything over, and probably ruin your game.
*To get a profile with debug mode, do the following:
1. Enter the game normally, create a profile name (e.g. MyName) and then exit.
2. Enter the save directory ("My Documents/Amnesia/Main" in windows by default; "~/.frictionalgames/Amnesia/Main" in Linux) and rename the user name (e.g. MyName) to "dev_user".
3. Open main_settings.cfg and set LoadDebugMenu="true"
4. Open user_settings.cfg (in "dev_user" folder), inside the Debug element change ScriptDebugOn="true".
I can't start the custom story... It says fatal error with your 00_intro hps code.
You're missing patch 1.3 of amnesia.

Umm.. I didn't get the Custom Story thing title button with it that shows up when you go to the custom story menu to select one. i put everything in my custom story file. Is something wrong or.. did i do this incorrectly?

I'm not sure what I can do to help. Can you show me how the folder "Monsters" looks?
I actually created my own folder called Monsters and put everything in. that worked :3 i feel dumb for saying this without trying that first :p Oh and um... why are there some monsters in the Debug room or whatever, that you cant actually get when playing the story normally? or do i have to be a certain level with my monster? An example is the gigantic wine barrel. never found it anywhere
It's because I felt some were too strong an opponent, and some I just didn't feel belonged in the areas. You can still get them in the Debug, yea, so play around with it :)
I also think i should mention that sometimes when i enter one of the houses from Outside and exit the house it will say FATAL ERROR "Missing map 06_Outside.map" Which doesn't make sense because the map in the files is called 06_OutsideMonsters.map. this doesn't happen every time but it annoys me when it does. I either have to rename the map file without "Monsters" in it, or load a save that was before when i went into the house. Could you fix dis maybe? :3
I have no idea how to fix that. You say it doesn't happen everytime, so it has something to do with the engine itself...

OMFG! same for me! I wanted to farm on easier monsters, but it just gives me that error!
