Mirage is a third person action RPG that puts the player into the shoes of two very different characters on opposing sides of a violent conflict. Made for the pc, and utilizing the Source engine, made famous by games like Half Life 2 and Portal, Mirage takes the fast paced action of hack and slash RPG’s, and combines it with a “Final Fantasy” style of storytelling. Utilising the various tools in the Source engines software development kit, Mirage will be a heavily customised modification of Half Life 2: Episode 2.
Hey all, this is a semi-trailer for Mirage. We did this for a TAFE project where we had to render a scene in Maya (we weren't allowed to use source) that uses assets from our mod.
It is very rushed, but it is worth showing to showcase the Arkonis Soldier model which is one of the enemies the player encounters in the first level.
It's just something we use for promotion now.
I hope you like it
Important Notice:
Not all the sounds used in this video are ours, I used sound effects from other games such as Oblivian and Uru for this video, until we have our own sound library.
wow, intresting
very nice. i like how the guy pushes the guard onto the wall, parrys him, and goes for the kill.
Anyone else here "The Krouts are firing on us" at 0:10? Company of Heroes sound effects FTW!
Cool vid though!
Haha I didn't even notice that! Nice one XD
Yeah, I stole those :p
I liked the video but when he killed the guard.Did he kill it with like a wind blast or something? It doesn't look like his sword can reach that far. But great work, Hope to see more progress on this mod..
Unfortunatly, it's not that apparent, but the other soldier behind the viewer shoots the guard, and then walks by him. It's not that obvious, and is hard to see. This was very rushed, and you can probably tell that the whole death sequence was just thrown on to end it, and wasn't really thought through :p
Ah! I see, Thank you for clarifying that. Anyway, Good luck on the mod!
