Replace the compass with a stylish, useful minimap. V1 release is out!
That detection overlay is the only good change they`ve made for FC1...
Thanks to pvcf for testing and suggestions.
- radar range increased
- boats have a different icon
- new stealth detector[ remove player icon detection? ]
- hud is more transparent
That moment after uploading the video, when you realize the minimap didn`t show because you `ve made a typo in level name ;_;
you can edit the video-post and replace the media, or just delete it and repost ;)
i like the changes you have done, the transparence looks very good and more organic to the interface!
the vehicle icon is a little bit to big, maybe it should be blured out by thicker but more transparent outlines, (but still decrease size).
the AI symbols looks very well, also player icon is now optimal, i think. the last thing i would change is the red compas lines and nswo, because they interact with red important icons.
the player stance icon is very nice but dont fit to the actual movement (stand, walk, run, prone, crouche, swimm, drive veh, drive boat, drive glider, climb ladder, fall) (yes, i know its a long list :D
edit: ah, i see its not a stance icon its the breath icon, sorry and pls ignore my post ;)
I dunno about the vehicle icon.
There are 2 options if it`s too big:
- make it scale with radar range
- or scale it with the distance on minimap
But like I`ve sad, I`m not sure about that. For now the size is changed from 20 to 17.
hmm, why scale by distance or range?
intresting idea, btw ^^ hmm, i would prefer distancescale.
BTW, distance indicator is back, for those who haven't noticed.
It now shows distance to the nearest main objective, if there is more than 1.
