wellcome commanders at the vortex of war which is a mod for generals aiming to combine all factions from ra2,ra3,c&c3;,c&c4; and about 3 tottaly new factions and adding new units for the original factions for the sake of ultimate war.
For my generals mod i use up to 750 polys for this kind of vehicles, it runs fine, even in lareger numbers. on ppm site there's apoly recomendation floating somewhere which says:
infantry 100/400
vehicles 500/900
base defence 600/1500
structures 1000/2000
superweapons 1500/3000
I believe the original author of this list was The_Hunter, and for my experience with w3d so far this seams to be a very good advice.
Oh yeah, a nice thing you could code: feedbackbone or something, and then use it to hide the missiles when they're fired, see the Tomahawk for example.
i realy go for a close limitation to the one u mentioned but with some modifications like if i'm going to make a small unit like this one with a light armor and attack ,i prefer to keep it as low poly as i can because most propaply it will be built in a great number but i opens the limits even up to 3500 poly for the limited units like the marv and the crawlers
the missiles look odd :/ maybe they need to be more cone shaped?

btw, if you made the missiles have pointy tip, that would save more poly count. ;)
