Idea! Use the component tower from Tiberian Sun as foundation for this defence structure. And then you can place the Rail Gund on top of the component tower.

Well, there might be a reason it never got it :P The base of this too reminds me of Gundam Wing, while I continue to wonder as to why its sharpened at the tip.
