I am reporting an unexpected and positive behavior. My LG 49UJ651V TV changes its backlight and contrast setting to 95 automatically when I launch MM7-Rel.exe (Maestro), MM7.exe (probably modified by mmt_3d3_screen.bat and mmt_d3d_textures.bat), but not with mm7_new.exe (came in the classes patch). The TV uses game mode for HDMI, which is supposed to be at the levels I chose and not change for each game specifically. They return back to the set game mode levels after closing MM7.
I suspect that mm7-Rel.exe doesn´t use the new_classes.exe fix, which package includes a different mm7_new.exe. The new textures and resolution also work on the former but not the latter. Also new_classes.exe is 16 bit, which can´t be run in Win10.
The instructions on the Maestro mod file page say "
4) If you want to use better textures use - mmt_d3d_textures.bat. This patch works only with original MM7! In the MOD the patch will occur you to meet invisible monsters! So that you should firstly convert the textures, and ONLY then install the Maestro Mod."
This is confusing, because I did install the textures.bat last, used a GOG 1.1V hotfix installer and still have orcs in the place of fireflies, not invisible.
