Metroid: Dreadnought is a mod for Doom II inspired by both Prime and Super, aiming to combine the speed and weapons of Super Metroid with the hectic gunplay of Metroid Prime; it provides an experience both hectic and fun in both singleplayer and multiplayer, giving veterans of the franchise the ability to wield their favored items in new ways and gives newcomers a fantastic introduction to the greatest action/adventure franchise to hit consoles.
This is a release that has almost all of the major features implemented. Load in Zandronum or ZDoom (ONLY THE MOST RECENT SVN BUILD OF G/ZDOOM WILL WORK) with a levelset of your choice, and go wild!
I get this error on the latest version of GZDoom:
Script error, "MetroidDreadnought-v1.pk3:sbarinfo.txt" line 9:
Bad syntax.
I found out that the mod only works with Zandronum. For some GZDoom and ZDoom even on their latest versions do not work with the mod.
I'm a little sad to see this hasn't been updated in almost a year.
This looks incredible. I don't have a copy of DOOM currently and want to give this a try.
If the enemy sprites were converted to appropriate ones from the Metroid series this would be flawless.
it is really nice addition to the doom community give my a new life very fun and just like a lot of doom mods a whole new way to play
Nice
