MERP is a total conversion modification of the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Explore Middle-earth in a fully open-ended environment like you've never seen before. Play races like Elves, Men, Hobbits and Dwarves and take part in the War of the Ring.

holy sh**!
EPIC EPIC EPIC!
a stupid question,can I ride on them ?
Probably not as they are too aggressive and evil for the player to ride them.
What if our character is evil hmm?
Not even an orc could ride that thing :P
i suppose nazgul wont be a playable character :P
wooow!
I'm going to have fun killing that :)
And......... that's when i creamed my pants....
Even Chuck Norris loves this
Since you need Oblivion to play MERP, I wonder if the wabbajack will work on them as well...
You can't ride flying stuff in oblivion.
yes you can :)
there are mods for almost everything ;)
Well, in Oblivion it is kinda limited as when you "fly", what is happening is that the creature is essentially lifted via a script on an invisible "plane". That is why the Akatosh flying mount, while a very cool mod, doesn't look really natural in its motion. It is also why the Akatosh mount doesn't fly without the player riding it.
******* awesome!!!!
But I wanted to ride one T.T ...
Yeah but I doubt the engine allows smooth flying.
well, the flying was ok, but it was the landings/take-offs that looked like sh*t in my opinion xD
We haven't tried flights yet but we have something in mind to make them realistic. Well, Maegfaer has :P
There is a mod...akatosh something I don't remeber very good where yo ucan fly on akatosh's dragon! You can base the flying system on that mod !
No ours will be better ;)
This is pretty ironic considering that I have the Fellbeast model from Games Workshop sitting at my desk when I first saw this. The one thing this fellbeast needs is more spikes and bigger feet.
Is it really so much of a problem?
No its not really, Im just trying to make sure its as close to the movie reference as possible. Oh yeah and after looking at some movie pics of the Nazgul, the number of spines seems to be just about right.(I guess Games Workshop needs to edit their model ;)
I've seen the Games Workshop fellbeast model in-person. GW can be a bit cheap sometimes, especially with the wings, which they reused from their Balrog model which I own (although still unpainted :().
Wicked! Great modeling on such an organic character! I can't wait to see him in game
Take your time guys once this mod is released mod of the year is going to happen for you easily
so we better always carry a VERY BIG bunch of arrows and a strong elven bow...
Brilliant work. Can't wait to meet him. >:T
Looking suitably fell.
******* awesome cant wait to play this!!
Also nice textures looks great.
@Captain_Iglo (wouldnt let me reply) Who said I was a orc, I could be a nazgul
If you can make a Nazgul storyline, yeah why not? :P Anyway, until we have all the good races playable with their own storylines and all, no evil race will be made. But i suppose, something will be done after MERP 1.0 about that ;)
I think having Evil Races along with an Evil Storyline would be pretty badass once you got 1.0 released. I would actually keep a 'Nazgul Race' locked until the player has done some requirements to get his character changed into a Nazgul first (submit to Sauron by turning on your allies/do good things for Mordor/Isengard).
Personally, I would make an Uruk-Hai as they are my absolute favorite out of all the evil minions! Anyway, good luck on this Mod guys!
i know i love them too :3
uruks are total beasts
Should be pretty easy to make one of these things. There is already a dragon mount mod.
Ate my tongue.
