Merciless Mod 2 V3+ Project revises a former unstable mod and aims to make it a serious contender in the modding community. Classes have weapon selection adjustments such as landmines with defuse chance, special grenades, overall firearm selection rearrangements and much more. This mod has war effects and blood mod build in. Players can pick among Soldiers, Medics, Officers, and Support Classes. Some classes having exclusive weapons.

This tutorial explains how to setup the Merciless 2 V3.0 Mod. This tutorial assumes you know how to use the windows explorer or equivalent on mac.

  • Executing the game via desktop shortcut
  • Create a shortcut to your "CoD2MP_s.exe"
  • add "+set fs_game Merciless2_v3 +exec merc2v3_1config.cfg" to your target line
  • "x:\game path\call of duty 2\CoD2MP_s.exe" +set fs_game Merciless2_v3 +exec merc2v3_1config.cfg)
  • Done!

Creating a server

  1. Create folder "Merciless2_v3" in Call of Duty 2
  2. Add the following files into the "Merciless2_v3" folder
  • merc3.iwd
  • merc3_svr_.iwd
  • message.gsc
  • message.cfg
  • merc2v3_1config.cfg
  • Notes
  1. The new cfg file in the merciless 2v3.1 turns punkbuster off.
  2. If you wish to enable punkbuster type this:
  • sv_punkbuster "1"
  • pb_sv_enable
  1. To disable punkbuster
  • pb_sv_disable
  • sv_punkbuster "0"
