Merciless Mod 2 V3+ Project revises a former unstable mod and aims to make it a serious contender in the modding community. Classes have weapon selection adjustments such as landmines with defuse chance, special grenades, overall firearm selection rearrangements and much more. This mod has war effects and blood mod build in. Players can pick among Soldiers, Medics, Officers, and Support Classes. Some classes having exclusive weapons.

For those who download the files via FTP or are missing instructions here they are.

  • Get the following files (merc2v3_3.zip)
  1. merc2v3_3.iwd (client)
  2. merc2v3_3_svr_.iwd (server)
  3. merc2ded.cfg
  • Create folder "merc2v3_3" (without quotes) in Call of Duty 2 directory
  1. Add in two iwd and one cfg file(s) to that directory.
  • Executing the game via desktop shortcut
  1. Create a shortcut to your "CoD2MP_s.exe"
  2. add "+set fs_game merc2v3_3 +exec merc2ded.cfg" to your target line
  3. "x:\game path\call of duty 2\CoD2MP_s.exe" +set fs_game merc2v3_3 +exec merc2ded.cfg
  • Enable Punkbuster
  1. sv_punkbuster "1"
  2. pb_sv_enable
  3. exec pbsv.cfg

Please note that Punkbuster for Call of Duty 2 is abandonware. Most servers have dumped PB due to lack of support. Some people can't even get the latest CoD2 punkbuster since the pbsetup.exe only works with newer games now.
