Partisans Thread - Totaler Krieg: 1939-45 mod for Battle of Empires : 1914-1918

Hey Sturm!

I was wondering how your mod would look like, if you added some partisans nations. i thinks it's not hard to do:

• Models - Just take some random models of your infantry, mix them, so they will look more..uhm.. devastated and mixed. For example you can take a british legs and shoes and mix it with german tunic, with addition of russian rifleman bandoliers^^
• Faces - Easy - just give all types of faces you got
• Weapons - all types without some guns, which weren't used commonly by partisans (like M1 rifles, carbines)
• Voices - hard to get polish ones, but i think if you are making an french nation, you'll be able to get some of them.
• Extras - of course not every partisan has a camo tunic. Mostly civillian clothes, rarely pre-occupation native uniforms.

From my point of view, Men of War is awesome for partisans skirmishes. Infatry combat, with few soldiers against better-equipped and well-trained occupants.
Partisans could have better vision than normal soldiers, 'cause they are operating on well-know territory.
Well, there's a lot more to do, e.g. coding but I think Partisans might be a nice addition for your mod. They were very brave and for sure helped to win the war.

Well, as far as I'm concerned many people who are tracking your mod are Poles. And I think they'll be able to give some records. Our nation is quite good at dubbing ^^
I'd like to help you, but got no recording device, only some bad-quality microphone xD
Been tracking your mod since the start od dms and met many people, my polish friends who really loved your work and I think if you make a news in dms/moddb about this idea, many people would like to help you.
I can give you some information about the partisans equipment (like what weapons partisans were using and where they were operating).

Ok, that sounds like a great idea, involving the mod community and so. I think ill follow up your ideas after I have finished implementing all base nations (UK, US, USSR & GER) + France as an addon, then ill look into adding the Polish as my last additional army.

Hello,

Im Polish myself too and I know this language perfectly, anyway. I was always interested in history and equipment and I always wanted to see all this stuff in MoW. I know that Legends of Steel had some Polish army models, but I guess you'd rather want to start them from a scratch.

Im up to support your mod with any info I got for now.
