My brother Bob gave me idea about mod with dramatic plot when G-Man destroys our dreams. He can not release his vision anymore, but I still can. Rest In Peace Bob.

Sadly it never ends for your brother Bob, consistently going from one bad day to the next. No sooner have you blown up the head of the G-Man and discussed career prospects with the mysterious Boss than he tosses you in the mix again. Another train ride another mysterious situation leaving Gordon (and you the gamer) none the wiser, but thats what we like about the Memory Of Bob and all it's canonical universe, Michael Brayen will always give you a Palm d'or plot…

As you may know there is lots of Half-Life 2 mods. Some of them shows you the worst parts of Combine's occupation, this one is doing something better. Shows you the Civil War is bad for everyone. Shows you seen the little kindness is the greatest thing. Shows you "The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world." I played so many Half-Life 2 mods, non of them gave me these feelings. Most of them are just too sided with USA. Some of them just made with fictional characters. And I don't know how but some of them says war is a good thing if you're shooting bad people. Besides one of the greatest gaming gameplay, the Acting Performances just make me love this mod. I don't imagine any better casting for any character. They all chosen well. Scores is the soul of the mod. Michael Brayen mades you feel that. Level design is too great, playing this mod with these colors makes the game too much realistic. I don't know how is it doing that. I know some of the movies are trying that when flashback scenes are coming, but most of them are not being successful at. Game Design and Lighting is also too varied. They managed to do an enormous job. You feel the greatness in the mod with varied places and objects.

While I may feel inspiration by some Half-Life 2 mods. I am grateful that it introduced the greatest story gaming has ever told to our game community, an audience that never would have experienced or connected with it in its previous form. So, here we are - "Memory Of Bob". Committing an entire episode to both the left behind dlc and Gordon and G-Man seems like a mistake in hindsight. While both episodes are great, they really take you out of the main story. We don't get as much quality Eli and Mossman time because of it. Part of why the game works so well is because you spend nearly 20 hours with these characters in the game. You connect with them, you feel as if you know them personally, you deeply care about them. All the small talk about movies, goals, and shared tragedy as you traverse desolate wastelands is what makes that game so incredible, and it's why the characters feel so real. In the show you spend less than half that time with these characters. This significantly takes a lot of the emotional oomph out of the story in my opinion. Even some of the dialogue feels rushed. There are important and impactful lines that aren't allowed to breathe and sit in. A example of this was the dirty magazine scene where it sounds like Bella Ramsey is reading a checklist of lines from the game. The scene is funny, but also feels unnatural and a little stiff. Not to throw shade at Bella Ramsey, she has some truly great moments in this show. If only this series got another one or two episodes, maybe then it could have fully done the game justice.

I don't impose my opinion to other players, nonetheless, I love this mod.

Story: 10\10
Level design: 9\10
Codding: 10\10
Lighting: 10\10

This mod tells the story of Gordon Freeman, who secretly saved hundreds of City 17 people from Combine soldiers. I have wanted to play "Memory Of Bob" for days, but could not bring myself to do so because I don't want to be disappointed. "Memory Of Bob" is phenomenally powerful and effective in portraying the gaming atrocities. I believe no one can keep their eyes dry from "Memory Of Bob". The scene involving citizens running after trucks of headcrabs is particularly memorable. The final farewell scene is very emotional for me. It is rare achievement, but "Memory Of Bob" is a three hour mod that feels too short. I like how developer created projection of his pain after Bob's death. 10\10.

I like everything in this mod, but especially sound design

well, i'm impressed, recommend this mod to others.

SO LOUD

Despite twenty years of age, creating mods for the game Half-Life 2, this type of craft is not outdated either morally or ideologically. And if you dig a little deeper into the world created by Michael O. Brayen in the “Memory Of Bob” mod (hatred of artificial intelligence taking away jobs, military operations in City 17, the growth of the Combine’s strength), then the plot will seem topical. It's not surprising that such a product appeared on Mod DB so many years later, although FPS shooters usually get popular and soon-to-be-released sequels like “Project Borealis”.
