Nice! If I remember correctly, these guys are somehow related to the Targaryens, right?
I mean through marriage, as they are vassals of Stannis, I believe.

They are a Valirian family. They once were dragon riders too i think (not sure about this part). I don't think that there were many marriages between these families. Onyl think i know is that Velaryon family sigil is very close to my family sigil. I wish to be a Velaryon in game :D

Argeomer, you are partly right. The Velarions come from the old valyria, but they never rode dragons. They've pretty much been vassals of the Targaryens forever, Since Aegons conquest, most of the time a Valerions was master of the ships. Also there have been a lot of marriages between them and the Targaryens, for example between Aenys Targaryen (An heir to the throne, became king later, all the Targaryens after him are directly related to him) and Alyssa Velarion. So basically all Targaryens are genetically partly Velarions. Hope that cleared up some thing :D

thank you :) Yeah, they weren't dragon riders, my bad. Didn't know about all these marriages. Because as they then followed Stannis (if im not wrong) i thought maybe they weren't in happy relations with the Targaryens.

Well, I think they were forced to bend the knee, not sure on this one, tough. But usually people tend to forget the far past of their houses. Robert Baratheon for example, his own Grandmother was a targaryen, but that didn't bother him when he killed Rhaegar Targaryen. (Small fun fact: the house Baratheon was founded by Orys Baratheon, who was a bastard brother of Aegon the Conquerer :D)
