The Salarians are said to use UV based lasers like the Geth which are better for point defense and anti fighter.
So my question is will it be able to attack fighter craft at all?
Those 4 slots you see at the front are for Thanix, and those blue dots you see everywhere are the gardian nodes. So yes.
