The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.

Sorry, not going to write a book every time a game shot is posted. Buy Sins of a Solar Empire so you know what we are referring to.

Awesome! I just hope the moons get similar shadowing to the planets, otherwise it'll look bad.

I don't think it would be a great idea to replace resources asteroids by moons ... We'll have too much moon at the end ! :p

We have too much asteroids with metal and crystal jutting out of them that don't match mass effect. Plus lots of moons is normal in the solar system.

Could you possibly either make the orbit of the moons further and differentiate the sizes so they don't appear as if ther are about to slam into the planet?

Agreed. Orbit should really be on the edge of the grav well.

Moons would generate their own gravity wells, so they can't be on the edge

most planets have many moons rich in minerals and raw materials, makes complete sense and a great change to the asteroids

Can they vary in size? Most moons are not the size of Luna (as these seem to be). Our moon is only so large because it was originally a planet that crashed into us.

Yes. Just doing some initial testing. One of the moons is sedna like which is somewhat irregularly shaped.

Personally, I think, if your going to switch to moons, I would make them quite small only slightly bigger than the asteroids other wise I don't think it will work very well. That's judging by other mods for sins I've played that replace asteroids with moons.

Can you change the probability of moons spawning for each planet, so normal planets would have either 1 or 2 moons, Gas Giants could have more like 2-4. Three moons for a normal planet seems a bit excessive, as does any moons for an Asteroid. Come to think of it, larger Gas Giant Gravity wells would probably be nice too, but that would likely get annoying for traversing them with ships :P

Reducing the number of moons and upping the resources provided would be an interesting idea. Another way to differentiate from vanilla Sins...

Personally, I'd prefer to keep the asteroids, and just have moons as a seperate entity, like in Distant Stars.
