Hi all, we hope you have all been okay during the last few months. DOTR development has been on a little break during all the craziness but rest assured we aren't stopping any time soon. Right now we are proud to announce that DOTR is getting the ultimate remaster treatment! Our goal is prioritizing every models aesthetic and trying to make it look as "Real" and "Gritty" as possible. Dawn Of The Reapers is entering its best looking age to date and we hope you all enjoy it!

I never quite get the designs of capital ships in ME. Like, where's the bridge? Why are there lights on the sides of the main guns?
Dat detail tho... Can't wait to see the new treatments with more beefier ships...
I'd imagine the bridge is well protected deep inside the ship, as it should be. You don't need windows in space.
Tell that to SR2 XD.
To be fair, ships had always been mere props in ME, so probably why interiors, designs, tech etc haven't been touched upon much...
Not to mention those hideous kit-bashes...
This is partially what we are trying to remedy in this remaster. there is allot of lore in mass effect behind these ships and we are going to try our best to make the designs as real and accurate as possible. Adding doors, windows, escape pods, gun placements etc.
I remember reading somewhere that the lights along the side were not windows etc but are power conduits. I actually like the fact there seems to no windows, as legion points out they are a structural weakness
Correct, those bright lights running along the hull are conduit lights.
All these years I thought they were windows those on the hull D:

so is this actually like cables on the outside but not inside the hull ? Tanks generally tend to have power lines under armor where possible. If this is equivalent to power cables then ... lol lore.
