The reapers have returned from dark space. With Earth under attack and the mass relays in a state of chaos from refugees and the councils fleet engaging reaper forces the galaxy is a mess. The outcome is unknown, the warfare is devastating. The galaxy will never be the same.
Going with a deviation of the stock design, i think im starting to like this style.
I think the main engines should be aligned with the direction the ship flies in.
Can't have moving parts.
Besides, the ship can rotate by increasing thrust on one engine and reducing it on another, rather than rotating the engines themselves.
If only Sins actually had that level of detail. I both loathe and love this game so much.
Sins can actually have moving parts on ship's its just a bitch and a half and is done with a lot of particle work, I forget which mod did it but a ship had a small section animated and they explained how. It boiled down to too much effort for very little reward.
not to mention the huge hit it gives the gig limit
You all missed my point. The engines on the model should be alinged with its flight path, not point in a different direction like in this pic.

I don't like the emblem in the center, it just doesn't look right IMO.
Also, as I suggested to Skyline, instead of having solid lines for hull differentiation, try giving it an opacity of 25% so it blends with the hull more.
Personally I enjoy the lines of separation.
I wasn't against the lines of separation, as I use this technique a lot. What I was suggesting was have them blend with the hull more so they don't stick out as much.
I'd like to see what it would look like if the lines where moved to a bump map and then put back into the texture with a bump filter.
this texture looks almost exactly like the cruiser skins in game, except for the lit up blue windows.
Like that how there is lines between plates.
