Seen in Omega DLC, simple design but it works.
Simple designs can be the best sometimes, just like this turret. Great work Set :D

Some small thrusters or housing would make it look movable instead of a fixed emplacement.

I'm thinking that the turret sits on top of a platform that houses a control room and it rotates via thrusters?
havent played omega yet, do these move or are they mounted on something?
They are mounted on Omega.
Would these be mounted on ships?
Maybe you should put four turrets onto a single hub as a defensive turret

This turret can use some thrusters or maybe twin solar collector panels at the sides. I dont think that housing is viable options, cause these turrets should be radio controlled from the ground of the planet (its only my idea not lore-confirmed, because i dont like the idea of being sitting ducks in space :-) )
In the DLC, the guns are operated from a control room that's directly in the back of the weapon platforms. So I think the platform would work for the turret.
