You mean that blue bit at the front? I thought that was the hangar. Ether way, that is one inspiring picture!

might be one of the coolest ships yet
This is a well done model, but the design of the ship makes absolutely no sense. The hole in the front of the ship makes for an inexcusable weak point, a single shot right down the middle would destroy the ship.
that is why they would probably have improve kinetic barriers in that area
Read the codex about carriers, plus the carriers stay back away from the fight.
And the codex says that carriers, in the opening of the battles, launch a swarm of fighters/bombers and after that they close hangar doors, because a hangar is carrier's weak point and that one well-placed bomb can gut a carrier.
Be geth if you don't like windows..
