Mandate of Heaven is a custom singleplayer level for Crysis. Its action takes place in a public park invaded by Chinese army renegades. The goal of the mission is to infiltrate the park and eliminate their commander, who established his headquarters in a sacred temple on the coast. It presents an open and detailed environment to explore, intense battles, and multiple ways to reach your objectives.

I have an obsession with any games involving chinese so I'm totally looking forwards to this. So it's just a single mission right?
installed it, I am running the steam version and it keeps asking me to reset the game and then I just return to the original crysis without the mod being loaded? can anyone help me?
As mentioned in the readme, the mod loader doesn't work with this (and many other) mods. You have to use the shortcuts that were created in your start menu to run it (under All Programs/Mandate of Heaven)
After experimenting a bit, I have only a few gripes.
1.) The "Destroy AA" missions don't all work correctly. The two southern ones work, but I played through multiple times and every time the northernmost AA gun didn't register being destroyed. This prevents you from calling in the support strike on the rebel base.
2.) It would be interesting to see a part in the level where the sniper rifle is useful. Aside from the very end when you're fighting the tougher enemies, the sniper rifle doesn't have much significance in the mission...even though it could have a lot of potential with so much open space.
3.) Finally, while I like the idea used in most modern games of picking up the enemy's weapons to use them, I really prefer using the SCAR over the AK, and would be interested in seeing more SCAR ammo in the cave-caches.
That's all mate, very fun mission overall and beautiful scenery. I'm not sure how much optimization you can do, but the beginning of the map is extremely hard on my computer. Once you're out into the main area of the map, the framerate smooths out, but until then it's almost stop-motion gameplay.
Damn! about these AA gun not registering, I spent hours testing them, tweaking the code, etc. and thought I had gotten rid of the problem. How can a simple "when destroyed, trigger this" instruction fail so often, I don't know!
sadly this mod fails.i cant even run the mod on high or medium...yet i run regular crysis with 30fps on very high.learn how to optimize your map.i was heartbroken too because this mod appears to be fun.in the beginning you start with a squad of soldiers and you breach a chinese village.your NPC's throw smoke and talk to each other.unfortunately everytime you look the screen freezes.optimize your map before you release it,thanks
