I wanted to work on refining the stalker jacksuit for the mod. Wolf is the first stalker vet you encounter in SoC so I started with him. Here you can see a stand-in head being made to 50% to start off the project.
Everyone say hi to Varick! We're really excited to have him on the team.

Hi everyone. Varick here. I'm new to the Lurk team and wanted to show off some work I've been doing.
Dont make too HP meshes, it will screw with the SDK unless you find a way to counter that. I'd suggest to follow Xyus advice :)
What about bump maps? Don't you need a HP mesh to make them?
Normal maps and bump maps are different in SHoC, they use an inverted RGB channel, BGR IIRC. I made a post about it on polycount, here: Polycount.com
The green ones are what SHoC uses[bumpmap, while it's in fact an inverted normalmap], the newer engine's use the Purple ones, just the regular normal maps
Stalkers should really be a beat up looking bunch, but not as bad a Ghouls in Fallout.
This is true, yes! And Imho..a guy in a wheelchair as repairer or something would really add to the sad zone-ish feeling.
I think it would be cool to have a man with broken legs being forced to repair guns for the bandits(guess who broke his legs).
Nice, keep it up ;)
Good luck with your new position!
That was a joy to watch.
That was.....a very freaky video.....and i enjoyed every moment of it!
Chin up!
I think you need this - fixes for X-Ray SDK, this remove stupid mesh optimization, with this fix SDK don't damage models with many polygons.

You are good at it Varick.
Thank you all of the comments and tips. It's reinforcing to hear them when I've only been working with zbrush for a short time.
I'll put up more videos as I work.
That is the creepiest **** I've seen recently.
