The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

The Ukraine is one of the coldest countys is the world so why doesn't STALKER have snow? It was really lazy of GSC to leave this feature to out of all the games in STALKER series. So, I propose if its possible to at snow to one of the weather cycles.
I think that this would be a interesting and realistic feature in the upcoming release of 1.1.

Snow in summer? I don't think that's such a good idea.

Who said it was the summer? If it was the summer in the game, than the default weather would be just fine.

But, maybe when you get the mod you could decide what season you would like it to be? Now that would be a great feature!

I think snow would defeat the purpose of barely visible whirly gig anomalies.
and all outdoor fire anomalies

how would snow "defeat the purpose of barely visible whirly gig anomalies.
and all outdoor fire anomalies"?

...
Because the whirlygig would stir up the snow constantly making it perfectly visible.
And the fire anomalies many of which are by nature like landmines, would also be clearly visible because there'd be a muddy little snowless area around them.

The general idea of anomalies seemed to be in making a deadly environment with sudden death possible at every step. You'd have to be an idiot to walk into an anomalie which you can plainly see...

Well, someone could say the same thing about rain. -_-

BTW, calling someone an idiot is not necessary on forums.

But, you did spell anomaly wrong. :P

rain is not as visible, nor does it accumulate on the ground like snow does. When was the last time you saw water piled high in some remote corner of parking lot?

No, it's not possible.

Also, I think the LURK team has more important things to focus on.

Also, Ukraine is actually not one of the coldest countries, contrary to your statement.

I'd say there's just no point in wasting hundreds if not thousands of hours to make the game include snow.

Seeing as how the game takes place in the fall, snow wouldn't really fit the game very well.

How about adding a bit of snow just an effect in the weather. It could be rainy, cloudy why not snowy too?Just an effect not only snow?Or just how it snows without any snow at all it could be good if theres such thing in the weather. At least for me though.
