(This mod contains my own interpretation of Legio~Cybernetica (different from the one currently depicted by ForgeWorld) and represents a sub-faction of that organisation (in this case one of a number of groups who took exception to the induction of non-Legio~Cybernetica tech adepts and took serious distain to their overuse of 'superfluous augmetics' which needlessly diluted their human form; as such this particular sub-faction eschews most of the noticeable mechanicus aumetics with the exception of using them as rank symbols and or weapons)),
(I was board and felt like giving the represented faction some background info of it's own, could be useful if it ever gets a campaign)

Mech_Lord : Calthni Ecelum
the faction's Mech_Lord replaced her mechadendrites with tethered automata after encountering a "False mech lord" from the ranks of the regular Adeptus-Mechanicus and ordering her Cohort to "remove all such things lest Legio~Cybernetica be forever polluted by the image of these lesser servants of the machine god"
(Weilds a Power-Sword enhanced by an Overdrive-Unit and is protected by a number of teathered drones)
(a truly fromidible opponent in combat, biotic augmetics make her almost imune to knockback and can provide her with idle regeneration) (her age is difficault to discern due the the regenerative effects of her biotics but rumour has it that she was even alive during the final days of the Horus Heresy though in what capacity she served Legio~Cybernetica at that time is unknown)
Magus_Dominus_1: Tha Yamlas
One of 4 Magus_Dominus once or currently Loyal to The Mech_Lord Calthni
Wears a pair of false wings adepted from his former Mechadendrites in hounor of the machine god
(the "lanterns" attached to the wing tips can create a flash of blinding light and energy that stuns nearby opponents, (the devices also contain something akin to a displacer field that performs a semi-random emergency teleport toward the vicinity of allies (trigered by morale break)))
(wields a standard Cybernetica Powersword and a bolter)
Appentice_magus_Dominus: less formidible than their higher ranking counterart, these Apprenticies are still strong combatants,
Paragon_Of_Metal: Paragon~aa~55436535..F:
This Cohort's Paragon_Of_Metal, a heavily armed and autonimous robot which Calthni deems to be a little too close to bordering on potential clasification as a Sillica_Animus,
aa~55436535..F recieved many heavy modifications from herself and her Magus_Dominus over the centuries until Tha installed a personally modified programming wafer which connected the robots cortex to a string
of ultrafine Nuron mapping inbedded between the programming in the wafer's structure, the result was somethign Calthni aggreed was "impressive and certainly an ingenious way of circumventing the Crimson Accords heavy restrictions on AI",
in practace however, though now neigh unstoppable in persuit of it's objectives and unsettlingly effective in combat, with the wafer installed the 'intelegent' Paragon didn't respond well to orders and she instructed that the wafer removed, apparently however it's time as a 'nearly-thinking' entity had effected it's machine spirit and without the wafer it never performed as it once had, seeming to sulk whenever it's work was complete, in dire emergencies Tha is sometimes permitted to reinstall the wafer and let the thing loose on the enemy, with the understanding that he and he alone must take responsibility for it's actions (also ensuring the Paragon doesn't get distracted from it's objective), and the loathsome task of chasing after the robot and prising the wafer back out again when it's no longer needed.
aa~55436535..F is one of the few robots within the cohort capable of speach synthasis a trait it possessed even before these later modifications, though with the wafer installed becomes far more verbose and often addresses Tha as "pregenitor and bingeror of death " which he claims is just a lookup table error in it's lexicum, Calthni suspects it to be a reference to Tha installing or removing the wafer, which compounds her unease at it's overuse since the machine shouldn't even remember the event.
(I feel like I've accidently copied part of this robot's backstory from something mentioned in official WH40K media because reading it back it seems a little too familiar, but I can't find anything so far, if anyone knows of something where this or similar happens comment on this article, because I'm interested where I'm half remembering it from )
A former Magus_Dominus known as Thadius Kahrne previously betrayed the Cohort and sided with the forces of chaos where he leads a force of inducted cultists and warp corrupted autometa, .... on rare occasions these two factions have encountered oneanother on the battlefield, and secretly Tha still holds Thadius in high regard (noting how difficult it must be to keep the corrupted autometa functioning effectively, especially once the corruption reached the point where they became almost pysically unrecognisable as any known robot class and prone to numerous random malfunctons in their cortex's)
