This article is the next in the series of updates designed to reveal who the "heroes" are for each faction. This, the third one, focuses on the Confederation. It is the final article; one that I'm excited about.
The Confederation currenty has 14 heroes, varying well between each class. The CR was really fun to develop the heroes for. There's just so much freedom in doing so; I also have to say that I did not create some of these on my own, but had help from a few members in the community and beta-testers.
In case you forgot or did not see the previous articles, heroes are divided into five categories, each of which is one class of starship since I am currently not doing the land portion of the mod for the coming release.
The categories are as follows:
-Capital Ships
-Frigates
-Corvettes
-Gunships, Freighters, Transports, and Shuttles
-Starfighter/bomber Squadrons
The current line up is as follows:
Capital Ships:
-Grand Premier Rusken Sal-Solo (great-great grandson of Thrackan Sal-Solo), who leads the Confederation from the Executor-class Star Dreadnaught Thrackan; the ship was one of the last Executor-class to remain in service, originally called Guardian, being abandoned and now revitalized. The Thrackan is escorted by several smaller capital ships.
-Admiral of the Fleets Kiandra Phennir, with the Virtuous, a Firestorm-class Missile Cruiser, the descendant of Supreme Commander Turr Phennir who oversees all Confederate military forces; she is accompanied by the 7th Battlegroup, a fleet with multiple starships
-Imperial II-class Star Destroyer Anakin Solo, commanded not by one admiral but a group between whom responsibility is cycled regularly
-Director of Military Intelligence Yakre Cnnar, commanding the Immortal Attack Fleet, led by the Vitrification-class Heavy Destroyer Immortal
-The Pillager, an Ara'nov-class Destroyer, controlled by Commodore Sergie Strang, descendant of Victor Strang
-Captain Dax Kersh of Corellia, using the Defiance-class Battleship Nova Hammer
Frigates:
-The Phantom-class Stealth Cruiser Deception, commanded by the Bothan Darak Esly.
-Mezer, named after a member of the old Confederation's military. It is an upgraded Vengeance II-class Heavy Cruiser
Corvettes:
-The Hoclaw, an improved Iviin'yc-class Gunship named in honor of a member of the original Confederation. It can spy on enemy planets to gather information.
Gunships, Freighters, Transports, and Shuttles:
-Selonian Run, a Nemesis Gunship equipped with equipment to operate as a very fast spy vessel, and remain undetected in orbit of enemy-controlled planets.
Squadrons:
-Shriek Wing, consisting of Phoebos Interceptors, a highly specialized anti-fighter attack group that contains multiple squadrons.
-Danen Squadron, named after a pilot from the Second Galactic Civil War who defended the world of Commenor. It is composed of Bes'uliik Bombers.
-Zerek Group. an elite bomber group composed of YT-7200 Bombers with several squadrons
-Bombardier Squadron (Eta 7's), one of the most elite fighter groups, which uses one of the most advanced fighters in the galaxy.
Like last time, picture will be added for some of these heroes. However, since there are no facial images for any of them because they're all "fanon," only pictures of the ships will be shown.
(P.S. If you were one of the people who helped and your hero is either missing or not correctly explained, please notify me ASAP)
I HATE the fact that I'm so far behind on new Star Wars material i.e. Legacy of the Force and so on that I have NO idea who any of these characters are just their ancestors - that aside the hero list (and the rest of the mod so far) is freakin awesome keep up the good work :)
i feel this way as well but these are fannon so you couldnt know then anyway

You couldn't know these characters as they are fanon. Cheesecake evens sais so in the news post.
I kinda expected to see the crimson axe in this list. I guess i thought it was more of a "pirate" faction but it seems to be more of a legitimate faction.
I was on the fence about adding the Axe as a hero or not, since Rav was more pirate-like, but I may make it that you can "hire" his ship as the Confederation, basically making him a hero in a sense.
Maybe as a recrutable hero for all factions. Conquer Socorro and Rav joins your side, If the enemy conquers Socorro he joins their side.
That's a smart idea, I think I might do that so anyone can use him.

Hi =) nice work, will you include and option to launch and recall fighters and a way to load troops aboard capital ships? Alliance Mod has something like that and it's way cool. Think of it please. =)
I don't plan on doing either at this point; advanced options such as those would come later after the release if added.
What streng is the executor class, is he strongest ship in game or is nemesis the strongest ship.
I dont now what you plan whit this old mod but will you put ships from old mod in this new (you are say that you will put corellian fleet, can you do that with other ships maybe not all but mandator, luchrehulk, aramadia, kedable, agressor...)
I didn't tell this to Cheese, but I named the hero Captain Dax Kersh after Irvin Kershner, the Director of Empire Strikes Back. Around the time I was asked to create the character, Irvin Kershner had died around than time. The last name "Kersh" comes from his nickname, Dax was just random...I think.
