A new film canon mod (FCM) using the latest advancements in JPOG modding to bring you the best possible JP experience in JPOG. A spiritual successor to JPL's FCMs and a reboot of the FCM:HD this mod looks to make JPOG more true to the original trilogy. New models, edited animations, new sounds, new skins and even custom ENB settings to ehance certain weathers can all be expected.
I would say not subdivide them and model them from as many references as possible in order to make them actually accurate to the films, but that might be a bit much. I do like these models, but they barely look like the actual JP dinosaurs
I appreciate the feedback, but saying that they barely look like the JP dinosaurs is a bit harsh. I'm not the best modeler in the world, nor do I claim to be, but I do think that they look very close to the dinosaurs in the films. Each model was modeled either from pictures of the maquettes that they used for CGI or from the animatronics themselves. I also double checked almost every angle of the model with either other pictures or actual movie footage to make them as accurate as possible.
I've just gone through all the models and found small issues here and there but I honestly don't see how they only barely resemble the films.
I preffer this models that the JWFK-modpack, those are close, these ones are the thing. ;D
so normal jpog anky cant run, because it has no run animation, will this one have a sprint like the ones in JW?
Probably not, I find it hard to believe a creature this heavily armored and heavy would be able to get into any kind of running gait.
The spikes should be merged into the underlying topology to prevent them from floating or distorting when animated, as the default JPOG Anky does. Furthermore, given the poly count, the Anky is too smooth - the JP3 Anky has creases in its armour that could be modelled in, and the nostrils should also be modelled in.
Thank you for the advice; after testing it just now it seems you are right about the spikes floating and distorting. I'll have to connect them to the verts.
