Try to make something more on it, to make it a bit more interesting... like a flashligh under it or on it, just to make them a bit more cute and help when inside dark places.
Well, this is a direct take-off of the camera (as seen in the Embryo Storage Unit) seen in Jurassic Park. I think it's perfect where it is.

IR light would be invisible for nv cam.. whatever ... iam glad it based on the movie and not some weried wishes xD i love the cam : )
