INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Open your base folder,

(C:/Program Files/LucasArts/Jedi Knight Jedi Academy/GameData/base),

and now:

1) Open .zip file and drag & drop .pk3 into the installation folder

2) Unzip the compressed .zip folder into your base folder

DESCRIPTION:

Part 1 of my texture overhaul project.

The Playable Characters will be re-skins of all the base models that you can use as a player model in multiplayer mode, meaning creatures, droids, etc. will be left out until later.

This part includes, WITH team skins:

· Boba Fett
· Cultist
· Desaan
· Jawa
· Kyle Katarn
· Lannik Racto
· Mercenary
· New Reborn (slightly upgraded from the preview version)
· Shadowtrooper
· Stormtrooper

How I overhaul the skins:

1) Take the skin and make two variations, a very bright one (over exposed)
and a very dark one (under exposed).

2) Combine those two and the original file to make an HDR
(High Dynamic Range - wider array of colors, contrast, brightness, etc.)

3) Post-process it in Photoshop: sharpness, colors, levels, additional things, etc.

4) Compile the mod as a .pk3, zip it up, and upload it.

COMMENTS:

My guess is that by around the end of February Ill have finished all of the PC skins, approximately another month (end of March) to re-texture FFA3, and then Ill re-texture the NPCs. Ive joint a brand new modding team (Ye Old Tweakers), and if I get some ideas I could complete it perhaps a week or two earlier, but at the moment, the modding team is still in preparation, and we're waiting for our site to be finished.
