I would suggest CoD 1 models. They are not too fancy when speaking about number of polys but still in a reasonable detail. The textures can be resized to lower resolutions.
Plus porting CoD 1 models is really easy, you need only a program called xmodelexporter which exports desired models into standard OBJ which you can open in every 3d soft.
Or alternatively MOHAA models. But porting these is more complicated. You must use a plugin for milkshape or lightray 3d.
