Infection is all about having things to do, taking the normal zombie game and adding a large, deep story, and at the same time having many other game-modes to choose from. You can even just hang with your friends in the lobby mode. The game will feature a fully working achievement system so you can show off your accomplishments, an in-game stats page, and a fully customizable HUD. Our game is your game, it’s all about the users.

1- Location of players, time left/time survived, number of waves survived, number of players and zombies.
2- Right corner up (don't blame me for horrible english, I just woke up -.-)
3- It could stay there.
4- Idk, I didn't even find that "bar" yet.
5- Waves left, number of survivors and types of zomies in this round/wave.
6- Hmm... full customizable HUD, changing places of things and colors :)

1. what xXMaNiAcXx said but i would like your health to have a blood splatter effect behind it for the lower you health gets.
2. id top center. makes it extremely convenient.
3. top left since the time is on the top anyways.
4. Change the icons to show what type of zombie is spawning that round.
5. Include when ammo/weps spawn.
6. you should have multiple weapons of the same class. as in have multiple SMG's or even add some assault rifles to differentiate from the HL2 base stuff.

I tried to get Bakon guy to do a blood splatter effect when your character is attacked, though he's either been too busy or just... Uh. Hmm, either way. I think it's a cool idea.

Out of the 2 useful posts on this page. We are working on some of the suggested content now. We will post a picture of the HUD when it is in working condition. Also, unfortunately we are unable to put the timer in the upper middle of the HUD because the weapon selection is there. But we found during testing that the top left is just as effective, while the top right makes it weird and confusing for fast glances. dont care about hud, just want to play your aresome mod, tried alpha version and it was OK but now, it will be great, looking forward for barricaded and maybe you could add Boss round in next releases ;)

As of about 10 minutes before posting this picture, the Barricade game-mode is now in a playable state. The HUD though, is not.

So our questions?

-What features should the HUD have?

-Where should the timer be placed?

-Where should the icon bar be placed? (the icons are not finished yet that's why they are all zombies)

-What should be changed in the current layout? (Things like: The barricade icon bar shouldn't be a bar at all, it should be a circle around the crosshair.)

-What things should be included? As in what kind of icons, the only working one at the moment is a icon displaying whether zombies are spawning or not.

-What kind of options should there be? (Like the option to make the health on left/right of your screen.)

Our aims: We're looking for a simple, easy to look at HUD, that you can make quick glances at instead of needing to look around the screen a lot. We also need some kind of notice for when an icon's status changes (Like maybe something that shows around the crosshair for a second or two.

Why are we asking? We want to community to be part of the development, we don't want to put things in that people are going to hate. So if you don't like something, TELL US.
