Extract with winzip/7zip/winrar or something similar and place the India folder in the mods folder of mtw2
I have an issue where no matter what state I choose, when i hit start campaign the game takes me back to the title screen?
Damn, please enable error logs in the config and message me the last 50 lines or so. I'll be releasing a new version soon so maybe that will work if this one won't.
Have you tried any previous versions of the mod? Do you have the Steam version of the game?

A couple notes:
I feel like when ships are carrying troops, the movement range is far too short. In-game it takes years to get from the northeast corner of the map down to southern India.
Troop recruitment is a bit overwhelming. Every troop type can be recruited in every settlement as far as I can tell (I've not looked too in depth yet), so there's lots of troops available.
Along those lines, there is a lot of unit variety but also not, as most troops are recruitable by every faction. I don't know if that changes into the mid to late game, as I've not played that far.
Overall, solid work. Definitely going to keep tabs on this mod
Thanks for the review! I agree about the ship movement but if the range is increased much then there’s a lot of lagging but I’ll work on that
To fix recruitment delete the map.rwm file after updating with the most recent patch
Hello admin I loved your mod but I am facing some issues,
1. The mod crashes when 751 turns are remaining, says sorry pal something went wrong.
2. When I patch the game with the recent patch update it takes me to the homescreen when I start a campaign
Please provide me solutions as I am very keen to play this mod

1. Usually errors with the historical events will cause turn crashes but there isn't an event that turn. Does this happen the same turn on every game or just for one of your campaigns? If you can enable logs and then message me the last two dozens lines or so that may show the problem
2. Make sure you only have "India Total War Alpha Build 0.4" downloaded and then move the Custom Battle patch and replace files.
I'm using the Non-steam version of MTW2 Gold. Were you able to start campaigns before the patch?
If you don't get it working I'll release an updated version soon that will maybe work
