I am trying to install this mod through steam and when I run the installer I get an error saying cannot find age3.exe
Uhm... the installer doesn't need the "age3.exe", it can be installed anywhere. Only the patcher needs the exes.
Make sure this is the path you install it in for Steam:
/Steam/steamapps/common/Age of Empires 3/bin/
