This mod just got ten times better! I love the quality of the models, but that side changer was so satisfying. I'm glad to see it fused together!

Will it work for all 4 factions?

Right now Imperial and Clone skins are planned, with other faction Hero skins such as Bespin Luke, Caped General Grievous, etc. You may see more alliance skins for infantry as well, but don't expect much for the CIS (The SBD blaster for example makes it nearly impossible to reskin to a B1 battledroid).

This is going to be great! Keep up the good work. I could never get the original Skin Changer working, so this will definitely make up for it.

How many different legions will there be? Also CommanderAwesome had a suggestion thread way back, it was for his mod In-Game Skin Changer.

There wont be alot of options due to memory limit but the devs are doing there best so that you guys can have some great skins included with this mod they probable have there own list themselves

Any kind of memory limit (unless it's .exe hardcoded) on skin variants can probably be bypassed by everyone applying a 4GB Patch or LAA to their .exe, it should not at all interfere with online gaming or compatibility as nothing is getting cracked, it merely increases the amount of RAM the game is allowed to use from 2GB to 4GB.

We are not talking about RAM, we are talking about the memory used by the engine, which has limits and it's way more complex. It's completely different, sorry.

That is precisely what it affects, the memory used by the game engine, feel free to read up on this type of tool. A large number of mods on Moddb already ask their users to install this patch and run it to be able to handle all of the additional models and custom content the larger mods tend to add. This works just fine for games released around BF2's time. Unless you are referring to a hardcoded limit in the .exe on how many different skins can exist.

I'd say it's at least worth experimenting with briefly if nothing else and if you have nothing to loose.
