I'm glad you managed to use a modified marine frigate fx, I remember it used to be a problem, or at least someone said he doesn't know how to do it. I may remember it wrong and I've never tried it myself, but the notion I had was that it requires some not so obvious creative solution.
Shouldn't it be more conical though? It's easy to modify once you have the effect implemented.
Also don't you want to dock it closer? At least on the Taiidan flagship the collectors actually touched the deck.
I've changed that already, it's much better and I would have uploaded a video.
The thing is, it will be changed again once the device that transfers the resources are the RED bars over and beneath the vessel, so it should behave accordingly with top or bottom docking. To make the next release we have to revise all dockings (procedures and effects) so as soon it's changed, a new video is uploaded.
Will you be changing the color of the harvesting effect to orange / something similar / creating a new effect itself?
The beam was orange when harvesting asteroids, or blue when harvesting dust clouds and dust streamers.
Fantastic work I'm looking forward to see a new video regarding that feature and yes try to modify the beam if that's possible make it wider simulating that the miner is harvesting the whole asteroid and not just carving a hole in it.
