Endgame Crisis will happen just when you think life is EZ!
Extract all files to your Homeworld2\Data folder (with WinRAR 5.0 or higher version) and read the PDF manual for installation.
Main changes from 3.9:
Added Endgame Crisis (inspired by Stellarium) -- a random mysterious event could happen after a long period of playing. For small to medium-sized maps, this is usually after year 50 or 60, and for very big maps, it could be after 100 years.

Improved stability -- the cancerous 00000010 crash has been finally fixed (it was somehow related to AI dummy hyperspace gate system calling the SobGroup_MakeUntargeted function repeatedly). A rarer 00000030 crash still exists and its cause remains a mystery (one player reported it happens when accessing the Hiigaran launch menu in later games). If you know the cause of the problem or if you have a reliable way to reproduce it, please speak out because your feedback is very valuable.
Also fixed the 00781000 crash caused by too many damage fx played by dying Hiigaran destroyers. Now dozens of destroyers can explode at the same time without crash.

New Ascension Perk mechanism: Kadeshi perks have been reworked and now it requires you to unlock them as you level up in game. Each perk is much more powerful than before, potentially bringing you game-changing advantage, but there is a limit of how many perks you can unlock in total (determined by your rank), so choose wisely.

Уважаемый siliconworm, мне очень приятно что Вы мне ответили, на Русском языке :) :) :)!!! Ваш мод уникален!!!! Событие Кризис, это кара Божья!!!! Эти монстры, разбирают ВСЕХ на карте за 5 минут!!!! А в настройках можно отключить это событие? Я пока ещё учусь играть в мод а эти ребята жить не дают!!!

And please fix the kadesh immobilize field, not sure the black field is intentional, but it someone blocked the camera, making is hard for a cinematic view
There will be an option to set the endgame crisis in the next version.
The purpose of Kadeshi Dark Realm is to block everything, including light, so not even the camera can see through it. It's basically a black hole without suction.
how to run on steam i did every step in a Manual 4.0v did not start for me i have windows 10 64bit
It doesn't require steam, just locate your installation folder of hw2classic and create the shortcut for homeworld2.exe as the manual says.

If you have found your Homeworld2.exe and followed the instructions correctly, then there should be no problem, unless you are talking about crash upon start.
If your shortcut is correct but the game crashes at start. Then send me your Hw2.log and I'll see what's wrong. The most likely case is you are using AMD graphics card and the shader is not supported. In this is the case, you need to add " -nopbuffer" to the shortcut's command line (at the cost of disabling all shadows).
