Progenitor is now a playable race! The installation instruction in the RAR is wrong, don't read it.
Homeworld 2 Complex Simple (in BIG form) Installation:
1. Extract ComplexSimple.big into the DATA folder of your Homeworld 2 game folder. For example, D:\Homeworld2\Data
2. Go to Homeworld2\Bin\Release Folder, right click on Homeworld2.exe and create a shortcut. And be sure your Homeworld 2 is already V1.1!
3. Right click the shortcut, and left click Properties, then add " -mod ComplexSimple.big -hardwarecursor -luatrace -determcompplayer" to the end of the existing line in the Target box. For example, D:\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe -mod ComplexSimple.big -hardwarecursor -luatrace -determcompplayer
(Don't forget to click Apply)
****SPECIAL NOTE****
The command line above contains " -determcompplayer", this actually adds to the difficulty of AI players, making them very agile and efficient (typically, their attack groups will march without a rest, and this actually does good when you are playing large maps). If you want to play in a rather soothing pace, don't use this command.
If you want to play in widescreen mode, you can use " -w "and " -h " command. For example, if your screen resolution is 1366*768, you just need to add " -w 1366 -h 768" to the end of the command line. This trick won't change the proportion of 3D rendering, but it does stretch 2D graphics.
4. You can now play this mod via the new shortcut!
And if you have any trouble installing or playing this mod, just tell me, I'll examine the problem and come up with solutions at first time! If it crashes, immediately go to Bin\Release folder and open Hw2.log in NotePad, copy everthing inside and send to me via private message so I can analyze your problem.

I like what you've done here, but cleaning up after you so that I can play the game with a slimmer data profile is a taxing and tedious enterprise. There's a crapload of .psd's lying around in the effects area, humongous numbers of redundant files that have already been converted from .tga to .rot and so on. It's better than it was before, but it is still out of hand. Could you potentially try keeping that stuff in a seperate region of your computer that's mapped out the same way as HW2 requires stuff to be mapped out, and then only export the stuff that's really necessary?
i didn't do it that way. what i can do is to copy the entire folder, search unnecessary file formats, delete them all and pack the big file.
Thanks for the mod, only one problem with Turanic raiders, when i build a scaffold class ship i have a bug. All ships look like white rectangle, no upgrade possible.
A scaffold is the unfinished form of a ship, you need at least one Slave to finish the construction, simply by repairing the scaffold.
is this a different mod then complex enhanced? curious why the version level is so much lower then the other complex. what's the difference?
This version is the lastest and has nothing to do with the version number of Complex. Also, Complex Enhanced is another different mod -- you should be able to tell simply by looking at the file size! Orz

No more races in the forseeable future. The existing ones just need to be more and more complex, and that's my primary goal and incentive of making this mod better, if not worse...

But I don't think there'll be more cheats. There are so many existing cheats here in the Haxor panel! And I think they are already enough for noobs like me! XD

Does multi work?
I've never tested it in multi player. Some people say it has out of sync problem. So if you want to try, I recommend you to use minimum unit capacity and AI player settings.

Awesome mod works great on my quad core 8 gig laptop.
However the Kadesh does not get all of the research options so you cant get all of the available ships to play at once.
Is this done on perpose?

Yes, it's the original design of Path to Victory mod, from which the entire tech tree was transplanted as precisely as possible.
Nevertheless, I do want to get more ships for Kadeshi, and you will see something new in the next release.
im sure this has been answered elsewhere but I cant seem to figure out how to capture a planet..... any ideas? when I did it in the original complex mod i used carriers.
Carriers of hiigaran and vaygr can't capture a planet.

if you are playing hiigaran or vaygr, use mothership
if your are playing other races, most production capital ships will work

Hey man,its only me or the drones from the progenitor race are to damn hard to kill and too damn cheap? just saying :D
Yeah! They are that damn hard to kill! Because they have armour equivalent to that of the capital ships, you need to find the right weapons against them. In other words, you can't count on anti-fighter weapons because they are simply helpless against an echelon of such drones. That's why it also depends on what race you are playing. Here's some of my experience that might be helpful for you:
If you are Kadeshi, all the heavy missiles are very effective against them.
If you are Vaygr, immobolize the drones with EMP weapons, Support Frigates and upgraded Warfare Frigates are some cheap options.
If you are Turanic Raiders, detonate the Explosive Traps when they gather around. You may also need EMP weapons, the most convenient one is the Espionage Battery on Raider.
If you are Progenitor, you have no problem of course...
But if you are Hiigaran, I think you will experience some difficulty (Ion Cannons not manoeuverable enough, Juggernauts too expensive)... When you have to face a lot of drones, maybe the best strategy is to turtle with all the defense shields you have, or use dozens of shield-upgraded Defender Drones to distract them.
THE characters are all right but the bottom panel is white also whenever a word is written the screen Becomes White. Help....
