The goal of Half-Life 2 : MMod is to enhance and expand gunplay, combat mechanics and the immersion factor by giving the Player more options and combat opportunities as well as refine how the Player handles his arsenal. Half-Life 2 : MMod also offers minor AI enhancements, extended abilities for combine soldiers, multiple bug fixes, enhanced visuals, VFX re-design, sound redesign and much much more, while keeping nearly every new feature in the mod totally optional.
This compatibility patch will allow you to play through Day Hard with the visual and gameplay enhancements that HL2: MMod has to offer.
omg, YES!
Now this is a classic. You're hitting every mod in the ballpark!
This, I like. The last time I played Day Hard, I was a stupid kid on the internet. Time for me to appreciate this mod in a different light.
There seems to be a few game-breaking bugs in this mod. I have no idea whether it's the MMod-mod specifically, or just that Dayhard itself broke because of later HL2 updates (and I'm pretty sure I installed it correctly). Regardless, these are what I found:
- In the 1st level, in the room that has the movie playing, it gets to a point where it no longer progresses and you seemingly become trapped in that room.
- Whenever you become stripped of your weapons, upon level transition, the last weapon you were carrying will appear in your hands (it cannot be used however)
- In the 3rd level, during the train nightmare scene, I ran away from the train and tried jumping over it when it got near me. It clipped thru me and I was unable to move and had to reload.
- 3rd level, if you enter the elevator that is supposed to take you up to the hotel rooms and immediately walk out of it, the doors will close and you will not be able to enter the elevator anymore, requiring you to reload the map.
- In the 4th level, in the bar where you meet the movie actor, it's possible for him to die before he gets to the door he's supposed to unlock, trapping you inside the club with no means to kill the combine.
- 4th level, the force field can be walked right thru, skipping needing to find a button to turn it off.
- 4th level, after passing the force field, the combine citizen with the hat and shotgun was down the hallway, standing still and invincible <-- may be a result of skipping unlocking the force field
- 4th level, the antlion guard appears to be invincible, as I used all my ammo on it and it was still alive. It followed me back to the force field and it got disintegrated after passing thru it, however the game didn't progress. <-- may be a result of skipping unlocking the force field
Please inform me if these are mistakes on my part. If they aren't, I'm sure they can easily be fixed with Hammer; something I'm pretty sure I could do if you're too packed with other stuff.
Does this make the mod 11/10?
DayHard is a masterpiece, so adding this is a blessing.
i installed the og source 2013 fix but it crashes when i enter the game
