HL1 Inside HL2 is a mod, that adds all Half-Life: Source stuff to Half-Life 2, such as monsters, weapons, sounds, effects and etc. The main purpose of this mod is to make Half-Life 2 looks more different. Which means, that you will fight against Half-Life 1 characters, you will use Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2 arsenal against them, you will feel some different gameplay in Half-Life 2. Like some style of 7-hour war. I have remade relationship of characters from Half-Life 1. Which means, for example, Half-Life 1 Barney will attack you right now. Also, I have added the MapAdd, that allows you to add any character from Half-Life 1 and Half-Life 2 to the map without decompiling and recompiling the map. For this time you can only spawn characters randomly. As I have said before, all Half-Life: Source stuff were added. Which means, that you can create maps and add Half-Life 2 and Half-Life: Source stuff to your maps.

Well... I really liked the idea, but the implementation is terrible, enemies spawns each save/load, which leads to map, overhelmed with enemies, making walkthrough impossibly hard.Also no binds for the seventh slot, where the weapon from hl:s.

Based on EA version, but I don't think there is a significant difference.

Lazy and underwhelming.

The whole shtick ends up been about randomly spawn few types of HL1 enemies on map. And when I say "randomly", I mean it. From "safe zones" like rebel bases where those enemies kill important NPCs to literally in the sky. How do you feel to be shooted at the start of third Citadel map, where you striped of all your weapons and can barely move?
Like that wasn't enough those enemies are tanky, hit hard and extremely accurate. No comparison to how they feel in HL1. Or to their HL2 counterparts.
Just a couple of HL1 weapons are available via gameplay. Everything else only by console. Hornet gun is broken (no damage).
Cherry on top - crashes during map transitions that happened more than just couple of time.
