yea a giant spear in a guy would not kill anyone
The guy would be unable to fight with that and would probably die of blood loss within a short time.
Seeing how that ripped some of the most important blood vessels in the body, he'll bleed out like a pig. Sorry for the harshness, but stabs to the groin are worse than just getting a high voice and walking funny.
looking at the exit point i think it also severed the femoral artery which would mean death in seconds.
