A graphics modification for old good game Heretic. Сontains hi res textures, PBR materials. Relight original maps and particle effects.
Description
To start the modification, run 1.=PLAY HERETIC HD PBR=.bat For the hi-res textures to work correctly, use the version of gzdoom supplied with the mod.

Great work. but i would not include the Heretic game itself in this mod. there was another mod for Doom who did that as well Zenimax deleted that mod because of it
zenimax don't own this franchsie anymore. mcirosoft bought them.

Looks ossome. It have Amid Evil vibes with disabled texture filtration.
Looks fantastic. However, mouselook is enabled ONLY while the assigned key is held down. Thats a gamebreaker for me.
I have problems with brutal heretic, it does not level up if the heretic-remade.wad file remains and the end-of-map screens do not display in the correct aspect if the relight file is present, you could make it compatible so that it is the same way perfect heretic? If you need the brutal heretic file I'll give it to you. I would appreciate it very much.

THIS MOD NEED REPAIR AND MODELS 3D , SO :
1/ REPAIR THE MOD :
In any PCs with WINDOWS 64 bits , the screen go to white or the game have problems .
SOLUTION : rename the file " opengl32.dll " to " for windows XP - opengl32.dll "
2/ Download the models 3D from " Brutal Heretic 3D HD " in...
sorry , Moddb don´t let me write URLs ; so , in youtub look for this video :

in the description there is a link to driv googl , clic this ( the another link do not go ) .
3/ Inside the folder " Brutal HERETIC HD 3D / Data " copy only two files :
BrutalHereticRPG-HD-3D-PackV1.pk3 and BrutalHereticRPG_V2.pk3 ( not BrutalH...MAPS );
and paste those two files inside the folder with HERETIC HD PBR .
4/ open the BrutalHereticRPG-HD-3D-PackV1.pk3 . ( If you have not the 7z.exe ,
you can rename the extension .pk3 to " .zip " , so windows can open the file ) .
- inside there is a folder : " Hires " ; go in and delete two dirs : flats and textures .
( the textures of the mod Heretic HD PBR are better )
- Exit , and rename the new version of the Brutal 3D Pack as :
BrutalHereticRPG-HD-3D-without-textures.pk3
5/ Edit ( with the note book ) the file "1.=PLAY HERETIC HD PBR=.BAT" ,
- delete the word MBlur1.04.pk3 ( the game do not need it )
- and insert the names of the two files of Brutal , like so :
gzdoom -file HERETIC_Relight_Maps.WAD HERETIC_REMADE.wad BrutalHereticRPG_V2.pk3 BrutalHereticRPG-HD-3D-without-textures.pk3 heretic_hd_pbr_hq.pk3
This order is mandatory. If you change the order of the files, the monsters will go to sprites 2D.
- save it as "1.=PLAY HERETIC HD PBR MODELS 3D=.BAT " The extension must be ".BAT", not ".TXT"
6/ Double clic over this new launcher.BAT , and you will enjoy the textures HD with models 3D ;

i stumbled across this mod and let me tell ya...nothing short of fantastic. yall did an excellent job of the texture work, pbr, and adding some brutality to the death sprites. thank you for breathing new life into this classic shooter. i'm definitely reliving my teen years again lol
