Removing hazards while simultaneously adding new ones?
There was a mod released almost 10 years ago, called "OpposingLife2Life" that did the same, but went overboard with the map-edits until it descended into schizophrenic anarchy (Alligator in the abandoned tram tunnels, Pit-Drones in Blast Pit, German Shepherd attack dogs in We've Got Hostiles) so it's great to finally come across a map-edited Half-Life mod that changes things up to believable extremes.
The edits are oriented towards making Black Mesa seem more believable. Larger staff facilities, more offices, rooms, and connecting hallways. Freight doors to account for all those giant crates everywhere!
Oh yeah, I actually have the thing backed up on an HD Hard-drive... at least I hope so.
Let me tell you, even as a distant memory, it's an absolute clusterfuck! If I have time this weekend, I'll look into digging around for it and putting it up as an addon-on for half-life.
I don't see any tripmines down the corridor to kill that foolish scientist. Kinda intrigues me.
Neat changes btw.
It's around the corner, this way the scientist walks through the sentry lasers every time!

Mods in general tend to, or at least used to, go overboard with map changes, so that doesn't sound surprising.
Dude, I literally see you in every corner of the internet. :P
Opposing Life2Life?
Seems interesting, but the mod page have been deleted.
Do youk now where I can find a download of it?

I'd love to take a look at that too! Maybe it would provide inspiration or a lesson in "things to avoid"
Moddb.com Alrighty, give her a go. Be warned, it's finicky to get running since the CONFIG is tricky to deal with.
