Actually, that was never said directly. Sure the Supercarrier was strong, and best in its field, nothing is said about its size and strenght other then "its fricking huge" and "very strong".
hmm yea u r right but this is just a colony ship and it was never meant to be big and carry very much besides people and the supercarrier would have to be large enough to hold a whole lot of weponary and since it is a carrier it would also need to be able to carry the large amount of vehicles,fighters,marines and other stuff so it would have to be a subatancial size to hold it all so it is reasonable to come to the conclusion that it may not be the bigest ship but at least bigger than a colony ship
A colony is a city, and a colony class ship was carrying materials to set up a colony, so a colony class ship was large enough to carry a city and its people with it. That's a lot. A lot more then a division of marines, vehicles, fighters and pelicans and all. Remember that the Pillar was already carrying quite a lot of personel and material and that ship was only 1.17km long. But we can't know for sure what size a supercarrier is unless Bungie tells us really.
