You are Jim, a bicycle courier who was in a crash and was put in a coma. Meanwhile, a group of animal rights activists release infected chimpanzees from the Cambridge research facility in Manchester, because of this the virus spreads across Manchester but because of all the fires that broke down during the outbreak and because there's no fire crew to stop the fires, the infected ran away into different cities in England and decimated England in a matter of weeks. The military blockades were overrun and when they tried to evacuate the cities it was already too late, the infection was everywhere. Now there's no government, no police, no army, no tv, no radio and no electricity. Then, 28 days later after the initial outbreak Jim wakes up from a coma and slowly finds out what's going on. Jim then goes on a quest to find his parents.

The Phoenix Project Software to develop Half-Life: 28 Days Later

Posted by on

Since 2021, Half-Life: 28 Days Later has been in early development. In 2023,
development responsibilities were passed on to two other people.
Meanwhile, The Phoenix Project Software have been developing Half-Life:
Zombies Ate My Neighbours since February 2020. The project has had its ups
and downs, but very recently we have made major strides with the gameplay
and are ready to begin mainline production of the first episode of the game’s
campaign -- Part I: Grave.
Recently, we approached the two developers behind Half-Life: 28 Days Later,
with a proposal to develop the game for the foreseeable future. Our proposal
made it through, we now, The Phoenix Project Software will be developing
this game.
We have seen the previous work to this mod, and how pleased the community
have been with it. We are very glad that this mod has pleased its players,
especially fans of 28 Days Later such as me, and we hope to keep this going.
I realise that some of you may be concerned about our track record at TPPS.
In early 2021, we not only had Half-Life: Zombies Ate My Neighbours, but also
Halloween Horror, Imprisoning Life, Nerf War Simulator and Lost and Dead
Anniversary. While most of these mentioned projects have been cancelled,
we’ve always kept Half-Life: Zombies Ate My Neighbours and its multiplayer
going. With HL:28DL now in our hands, we will assure that a healthy and
balanced simultaneous development cycle will take place over the next few
years.
TPPS has possession of all internal development materials, and we can’t wait
to show you what will do with this mod. Any questions you may have, I may
be able to answer in the comments or the Phoenix Discord. The Phoenix
Community Discord and HL:28DL will have a merger at some point by the
end of the year, but there’s no reason for it to happen immediately.
Another update article for both ZAMNHL & HL:28DL, and an announcement
for another game we have in development will be coming soon.

Great news. It would be a shame to let this mod die. Looks pretty interesting.
