My first article for my new mod, The Hunting. Taking place in the Half-Life 2 universe, this mod takes a step away from others. Read to find out why.

Hello, I'm new the Mod DB.com but I have been working with Source SDK for nearly 3 years and before that I was working with Half-Life 1 and World Editor. I am now working on what I plan to be my first mod to be released. Although the mod is still in its early stages, all the code is already done and all that remains is the world you play in.

I hope to take a step away from the direction of most mods with The Hunting. The Hunting divides itself from other mods because the game takes place in one huge world instead of a series of levels. There are no loading screens after you start a new game.

I am currently working hard to make the mod as fun, fair, and enjoyable as possible. Mind you I am a one man team and the mod has been in development for about two months, so I can't give a release date yet. For now I am just going to say that it should be released by December. I hope to have screen shots of The Hunting soon.
