Global Operations: Source is a MOD of HL2 which wants to revive the game Global Operations. GlobalOps had many fans and still has, but the netcode of the game is really bad and the engine is more than outdated. Check out our ModDB.com-forum! Global Operations: Source wants to show how good the gameplay and the concept of Global Operations is and tries to improve it, using the features of the Source-engine. Two teams, 7 classes (Commander, Recon, Sniper, Medic, Heavy Gunner, Demolitions Expert and an Intel Officer ), 32 weapons with up to 3 upgrades (silencer, c-mag, laser, ...), lots of equipments (gas grenades, law, ...) and reasoned mission objectives (not just "plant the bomb"). Every class has its own group of weapons which it's able to use accurate and fast and which it is able to buy. Hey,
I stumbled upon the sound preview on filefront about a week ago. Global Operations was one of my favorite games ever, and I would love to see it as a source mod.

I sent an email to strayfire shortly after discovering this project existing but i havnt heard back so I figured you didnt get it and I would post here.

I know your looking for a code, and I wish I could say that I could do the coding for the project, but I only know the basics of c++. Tomorrow im going to read through a lot of the dev wiki valve has to help in making a mod, perhaps it wont be as advanced as i believe it to be.

What I have experience with is web programming (php, html, css, a little javascript).
Also i currently have webhosting, so if needed ill use some of the resouces on it for this project. Also if you would like a more managable forum, ill create a subforum on a website that I have vBulletin running on.

I'll check back here tomorrow and this week, please get back to me, im pretty excited, i really want to get invovled in this project.

as i said to you before: currently, we dont need a website. we're using this MODDB for our business until we got some more stuff to show off

without a coder, this could take some time ^^
