Tribute to all countries who fought for the allied powers in World War II.

Just as well, I do hold sympathy for some of those who fought for Germany, Italy, and Japan. The axis powers in the war.

There were those who did fight honorably, and Generals/Admirals I do respect. Such as Admiral Yamamoto of the Imperial Japanese Navy, and Erwin Rommel of the Africa Corps.

War tends to distort feelings of people to their fellow man, but now as old tensions have passed, we can look back with clearer retrospect to those who did sacrifice, and their intentions/reasons for fighting.

I have not forgotten the exploits of allies: France, Britain, the United States and other countries Europe. I honor the feat of every soldier who gave his life for this victory!

I for one am glad that we got rid of the Nazi regime on that day. I wholeheartedly thank everyone (Allied, Soviets, resistance fighters, etc) who made that possible.

I don't condone war, but history is something that I'm really interested in. I don't see why I see so much that separates the Soviet Union from the Allied Powers, that's like saying the "Allied Powers, the British Commonwealth and the Soviet Union have won the war!"

I agree and we probably never will.Like all Australians we remember the Kokoda tack, i have walked it when i was 20 fit young and still it was the most hardest thing i ever did.And i was not carring a pack and a gun witch would have added another 40-60 kg .God only knows how they did it.And the Bias/Racism that we never gave to the african/american/aboriginals and the fluffys the courtesy to honour them to.Goes to show what we as ****-Superior are really like.(ignorant, stupid ******** who in the end will destroy ourselves and our only one earth)

Even in my (relatively) small Canadian city, there were tulips wrapped in orange, and also Dutch red, white, and blue. And there was a parade with some of the veterans still alive, and for those who weren't.
Let's all be happy for VE day, the 7/8th in most parts, and be happy for those who survived, from Canada, from the USSR, from Britain, and America, and Germany, and Japan, and all other countries.
Yay for VE day!

The thing that ****** me off the most about this, is that we (humanity) can't even agree upon the day when the WW2 has ended. And how are we to unite and prosper together, if we invent so many things that divide us...

What's this **** doing on a modding site?

This here is to be used for mod development, if you're going to show rediculously offtopic stuff like this, go somewhere else. You don't see other people suddenly talk about their eating habbits do you?

If you don't want to look at it - just skip it. Why did you go into a discussion of what you don't like and write hateful comments? (sorry if the comment isn't hateful, I made this conclusion because of censored word.)

Ok then please show me screenshot of "Terms of Use". Especially the part where it says that the site can be spread materials "Only about mods and nothing but the mods" (c)

PS: Arranging such conflicts in the comments you contradict your own words: "Modding Site." So either shut up (otherwise you will soon become like a laughing stock), or try to write a complaint. Idk where will examine the complaint that the developers of the mod congratulate users with a holiday.

I'm not going into this nonsensical argumentation with someone who's unable to understand we have reddit.com/r/internationalpolitics if we want political discussions and that people come here for entertainment and to get away from these things.

I would however like to mention: "Laughing stock" Excuse me what do you do exactly? I don't think you quite know what I do in the eaw community, otherwise you'd see that that statement of yours is quite...unfounded.

Where do you see politics? I said "Comrade, no politics please". If you are stupid and unable to read the description, it is your problem. And modding community nothing to do with.

You impose their stupid opinions to all of us. If you do not like it, keep flipping on.As it has been said:"the PM is a fine tool to do it"!

"I don't think you quite know what I do in the eaw community..."

We have not talked about the community. My statement refers specifically to this situation and specifically to this discussion (Yes, for EaW community - you are a valuable person, no doubt)
But let's not try to use the advances in modding the game in the theme, which is not about modding.

Guys, last warning, no further comments from any of you on that discussion. If you want to insult each other or something like that, the PM is a fine tool to do it.
All following comment of that kind will be deleted. Please, don't create extra work for me, I have enough already

Description

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.
9 May celebrate the victory over Nazi Germany and the end of the Second World War (also referred to as 'The Great Patriotic War' in Russia and in other post-Soviet countries).
USSR lost over 20 million people in the war.
Victory day is about remembering those who gave their lives to achieve the victory and honors the bravery of Russian soldiers, France soldiers, Britain soldiers, the United States and other countries Europe. And Russian people on the whole whose heroism saved the country from Nazi invaders.
The holiday marks the capitulation of Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union in the Second World War in 1945. Unlike Europe where it is celebrated on May 8, Victory Day in Russia is celebrated on May 9 as Germany’s surrender was signed late in the evening on May 8, 1945 when it was already May 9 in Russia .
Given the loss of life it remembers, it is generally a solemn and somber day. Victory Day in Russia is a sacred holiday for Russians who often say that there is not a single family in the country who did not lose someone in that war.

A minute of silence those who gave their lives in this war...

Comrade, no politics please.

P.S. This holiday inspires me and some other developers in the creation of this magnificent mod.
