My team, jkberna and Djodar, my various esteemed collaborators such as Siber and Avatar II of the HW@ mod, and myself are proud to bring you the Galactic Council Mod, a bold project intended to show you just what really was behind those hyperspace gates at the end of the original Homeworld. So far there are three totally new races on the drawing board-- two totally original new races-- the Czalkir and the DR1, and another based off of actual Relic concept art that has come to be called the Lizaanj.
In HW2 the galaxy is torn by war, no commerce, no trade, no mining, no civilians laying around.
But the Galactic council mod is played before/in the beginning of the war, so there will be freigthers, cruise ships, or even small civilian ships travelling the maps.
Here is one, the MutiFreigther
Space container ship!
Very nice, cant wait to see it floating around space.
That thing is really hauling! Space Pirate or not, it would be hard to resist looting that ship!
shouldent the top 2 green containers be closed in open space...
other than tha i like it, it reminds me of the exile ship :)
there is no wind in space, it wouln't blow away. Or it's held magnetacly, doesn't matter, it looks better that way. :P
I like it with the ore coming out of the top; it shows-off your rock-making skills!
do you get some sort of RUs if you capture/destroy it?
Hmmm... do I detect inspiration from micro scale space containers?
I Agree with Alpha_Centauri, there may be no wind in space, but that uncovered stuff would still float away due to the motion and acceleration of the ship. Personally I think it would look better if the top containers were covered, because even if it were held there magnetically it wouldn't be very practical to install powerful magnets when they could just cover it lol. Sorry if im being too in depth here, but its just my personal opinion. Other than that I really like the model, good work :P
Also I like the idea of civilian traffic passing through the map. Will they be AI controlled and seperate from the actual players?
I think this would look better if the containers were covered, doesn't make any sense to have them uncovered, even with magnetic lining in the containers themselves.
i would think they would be better covered
You cold make some nifty stuff with these cargo containers when the ship dies...
Oh my god...its a flying junk yard
*coughs* Do you get some sort of RUs if you capture/destroy it?
